August 26th -- Come out and visit the staff of NORTHSTAR Bank as they Car Hop for Change! Bank staffers will serve as car hops at the Sonic Drive-In at 930 Fort Worth Drive from 5-8pm. All proceeds benefit United Way of Denton County!

August 26th -- Denton Regional Medical Center invites you to their "Denim and Diamonds" gala from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Rockin' Rodeo in Denton at 1009 Avenue C (by Panchos). Tickets are $20 and that includes "$250" in chips for casino games, heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine tickets, and entertainment from the Ed Burleson Band! All proceeds benefit United Way, so don your boots and bling and head on over to Rockin' Rodeo! Call 940-384-3975 for tickets, or buy them at the door.

August 27 -- The staff of NORTHSTAR Bank will be serving hot dogs at the Corinth Bank Center from 11am to 2pm to benefit United Way. Hot dogs are $2 each, chips and drinks are $1 each OR you can enjoy a combo meal for $5 that includes two hot dogs, chips and a drink.

August 28th -- The Denton Record-Chronicle is having a Rummage Sale from 8am to noon in the parking lot located directly behind the DRC building at 314 E. Hickory Street. Go through your stuff, your junk, and your gently used treasures and bring them to the Denton Record-Chronicle office from August 23th through the 25th from 10am to 2pm to donate for the sale.
