A Message from the Campaign Chair

I am both honored and humbled to accept the position of United Way of Denton County Campaign Chair for the 2008 Campaign.  I appreciate the confidence of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors to allow me to serve in this capacity.

 I truly believe in the dynamic agencies that make up our local United Way and appreciate all of the time, talents and creativity they employ each day to meet the needs of those less fortunate in our communities.  They are daily focused on making improvements through education, increased financial stability and the general health and welfare of individuals in our communities.  They do a great job advancing the common good, but we need your help.   

United Way exists to change people’s lives, and I challenge you to join us in making a positive community impact.  A variety of opportunities await your commitment and action.  Whether it is making a personal donation, a corporate gift, hosting an employee campaign or serving on a campaign cabinet committee, I invite you to make your mark in our campaign. Let’s make it great in 2008, for everyone to live differently…Live United!

Campaign Volunteers

More than 250 volunteers work on the campaign every year in various capacities. The group is comprised of employee campaign coordinators of Pacesetter companies, the campaign cabinet, division chairs, Leaders on Loan, the marketing committee, a speaker's bureau, the special events group and many others who all have a part to play.
