A message from the 2009-2010 Board Chair

In today’s economically troubled and uncertain times, the most vulnerable among us – homeless families, teens without opportunities, and young children that are given up on before they’re ever given a chance – need your help more than ever before.
United Way of Denton County provides funding for 26 partner agencies that provide critical, direct assistance to those who need it most.
We all know colleagues, family members and friends who have been impacted by the economic downturn; which is why I have come to you with an increased sense of urgency and a renewed focus in making the 2009 Campaign a success.
Now is not the time to give less. We must all LIVE UNITED and give more. Because when you give to United Way of Denton Counwty, you are investing in the health and well-being of the community. You are funding the building blocks to a better life: programs and services in Education, Income and Health.
With your financial contribution to United Way of Denton County, you are inspiring hope and creating opportunities for a better tomorrow. I encourage you to Give. Advocate. Volunteer.
That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
Mary Ann McDuff
