North Central Texas Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC)

The North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center (NCT-ADRC) is an inter-agency initiative, funded by a special grant from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability, and supported by a number of “lead” and “partner” agencies.

Lead agencies include the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Regional Local Services, the North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging, United Way of Hood County, United Way of Denton County, REACH Resource Centers on Independent Living, LifePath Systems, Denton County MHMR, and Pecan Valley MHMR.

The NCT-ADRC serves people of all ages, all income levels, and all types of disabilities who live in Collin, Denton, Hood, and Somervell counties.   The NCT-ADRC doesn’t provide direct services, such as attendant services or financial assistance, but helps connect people with programs that provide direct services.

The most recent NCT-ADRC workshop was held on January 21, 2010 at Treitsch United Methodist Church in Flower Mound. The topic of this workshop was "Whose Life Is It Anyway? Working With People Who Resist Help"
