Provides trained volunteer advocates who conduct totally independent investigations after receiving court appointment to a case involving a child that has been abused or neglected. Each time the child’s case has a court hearing, the advocate provides a written report to the judge and files the report to the county clerk as to the “best interest of the child.” Note: the courts refer all cases. Adult volunteer opportunities are available.
