Holiday Wreath-Building Social
Women UNITED members and friends got artsy together in the United Way Community Room to make one of two holiday wreaths with the help of the Floral Department of Denton ISD.
2024 Sip-N-Shop Networking Event - Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Women UNITED members and guests came out to Denton County Friends of the Family Upscale Resale for some networking and shopping to support women and children in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness on October 7, 2024.
Women Leaders Come Together for 2024 Homelessness Data Findings
Women UNITED members and guests were able to listen to UWDC's Homelessness Data Management Specialist, Evelyn Sutton, as she discussed the collaborative work in Denton County to address homelessness and the data found in 2024's PIT (Person in Time) Count, where a census of the unhoused population is taken every year. This was a great lunch for members to hear the needs of the community and what the non-profit sector in our community is doing to address these needs.
Women UNITED Inspire Change Workshop
The Inspire Change Workshop in April 2024 was focused on our Denton County Workforce and led to great conversations on how Women UNITED can make an impact with local organizations doing great work.
4th Annual Purses with a Purpose for Single Moms
In February 2024, Women UNITED harnessed their collective power with local businesses to collect Purses with a Purpose for single moms experiencing housing insecurity in Denton County. This is the 4th Annual Purses With a Purpose project of Women UNITED. Over 90 bags were collected and stuffed...a 50% increase from the previous year!
