Helping Veterans Navigate Financial Hardships
The Denton County Veteran Stability Program seeks to help eligible Veterans, their dependents and surviving spouses facing financial hardships with temporary assistance.
Program participants may be eligible to receive financial assistance with:

rent or mortgage
-
utilities
-
transportation
-
restorative dental care
To refer yourself or a Veteran, dependent or surviving spouse for financial assistance, complete the Veterans Referral Form.
Verification of Veteran status is required to be considered for financial assistance. Please be prepared to share one of the below Eligibility Documents at program intake.
Veterans (Select 1)
- DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty
- NA Form 13038, Certification of Military Service
- Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) official letter or disability letter with character of service listed
- E-Benefits summary letter with character of service listed
- Honorable discharge certificate
- Uniform Services Identification Card
- State of Texas Issued Driver License with Veteran designation
Dependents Eligibility Forms (Select 1 Dependents form and 1 Veterans form)
- Uniform Services Identification Card
- Marriage Certificate
- Birth Certificate
- Adoption Certificate
Surviving Spouses Eligibility Forms (Select 1 Surviving Spouse form and 1 Veterans form)
- Uniform Services Identification Card
- Marriage Certificate
- Death Certificate or one of the forms listed above for Veterans eligibility
