Previous Denton County Service Provider Winners
Carrie Baugus, Denton Affordable Housing
Winner of the 2022 Community Service Provider Award
Carrie has supported the social, health, and economic wellbeing of DAHC’s residents since she began at DAHC as its Leasing Coordinator in December 2019. Thereafter, Carrie has continually challenged DAHC to grow into its role as an affordable housing provider for its partner agencies and service coordinator for its residents, which includes people with disabilities, people formerly experiencing homelessness, and people who are victims of domestic violence. As DAHC has grown into this role—following Carrie’s guidance—so, too, has Carrie’s role grown, becoming DAHC’s Resident Services Manager in 2021, then DAHC’s Program Manager in 2022.
“DAHC would not have the relationships it has with its partner agencies nor its positive outcomes with residents without Carrie’s leadership. Period.” – Jacob Moses, Executive Director at DAHC.
