Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... As an elementary principal I know that educating a child is much more than academics. It is about wrapping around each child an partnering with the people in their lives and matching them to resources in the community. That alone can make the difference between success or not

I LIVE UNITED because ... I have seen the United Way of Denton County take a leadership role in bringing nonprofits together to solve difficult problems

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... Each and everyday I get the opportunity to make a difference in many families lives financially and help build a future for their children. With a wide range of products and services our financial institution provides, we are able to bank the unbanked, help a customer or family build a financial platform and watch them grow. The most rewarding part of my job is when a customer purchases their first home or purchases their first vehicle and i was apart of their life changing decision. I have been involved in Junior Achievement Dallas which gave the opportunity for my team to teach children the importance of saving and banking at a young age as well as pre-COVID actively involved in the North Texas Food Bank.

When I think about dancing at UNITED Tribute, I'm most excited about... Doing something i never thought I would ever do, ballroom dance with my wife

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... Being in banking for the last 20 years it has been a passion of mine to spread the word of financial literacy and make sure the under banked are banked. I started my career with FCB young and have grown to have a real passion for helping families gain financial freedom, purchase their first homes, first cars, loans to help their children go to college (the list goes on). I also love to support charities that help stop hunger in children. Once of my favorite in Denton is LovePacs

Why is the initiative you chose important to you? ... with our ever growing population and inflation in the economy it is making it even harder for people to obtain and maintain basic needs. I've heard far too often that anyone can be only one emergency away from being in a dire situation...so I hope that my small part this year can help to bring relief to those who have fallen on bad times and give them hope that there are people who love, care, and want them to succeed.
